Neptune is redefining how organizations build Applications & AI Agents for SAP. Our platform helps customers modernize SAP ECC, accelerate S/4HANA adoption, embrace Clean Core, and build the next generation of AI-powered business applications.
We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager with deep, demonstrated SAP experience to own the narrative that brings this vision to market.
This isn't a traditional PMM role focused on launch checklists and collateral. You will become one of Neptune's foremost experts on the SAP market: understanding where customers are on their SAP journey, how SAP's strategy is evolving, where competitors position themselves, and how Neptune creates differentiated value.
You will sit at the intersection of Product, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success. Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, you'll work daily with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Sales Leadership and Executive Management to shape how Neptune is understood by customers, analysts, partners and the market.
This is an individual contributor role, not a people-management position. You lead by example across the business — owning outcomes and driving cross-functional virtual teams with a company-wide mandate. Leadership here means getting work done as an owner, not building headcount.
Your responsibilities
- You own the positioning and messaging for Neptune DXP: You translate product capabilities into compelling customer value, helping organizations understand how Neptune accelerates every stage of the SAP journey, from ECC modernization to the SAP Autonomous Enterprise. You continuously refine messaging & content, based on customer feedback, market shifts and competitive movements.
- You understand SAP customer buying journeys, SAP ECC and S/4HANA, Clean Core, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Business AI, SAP Build, Fiori and SAPUI5, SAP development, SAP partners and GSIs.
- You don't simply know the products, you understand why customers make technology decisions. You monitor SAP announcements, analyst research, competitors and customer trends, and translate them into clear guidance, sales plays and intelligence for GTM teams.
- Every (major) product release and new product introduction becomes a commercial event. You lead Product launches from a Product Marketing/Marketing perspective, industry & persona based messaging, product positioning & platform messaging, Sales enablement, demo narratives, battlecards, website content, campaign messaging, customer presentations, Executive decks.
- You enable Revenue teams to win: You build the core sales toolkit like battlecards for each major competitor (SAP Build, Microsoft Power Platform, Mendix, OutSystems), objection-handling guides, ROI/value narratives, and discovery questions that help reps qualify SAP modernization opportunities early.
- You join key sales calls, executive briefings, and QBRs when Sales needs help articulating Neptune's differentiation to a skeptical CIO or a technical SAP architect.
- You keep the field current. SAP's roadmap, pricing, and competitive landscape shift constantly - you're the one who translates a SAP TechEd announcement or a competitor's new feature into "here's what this means for our deals in flight" within days.
- You partner with Solution Consulting and Business Value Consulting and you make sure the story they tell matches the narrative Marketing and Product are pushing externally.
- You measure yourself by whether Sales actually uses what you build (adoption of sales tools, battlecards, requests for your involvement in deals) rather than just shipping assets and moving on.
- You don't simply explain Neptune as a product, you explain where enterprise software is going. You'll regularly create Executive blogs, whitepapers, analyst briefings, webinar content, keynote presentations, industry research, customer success stories and strategic messaging.
- You are AI-native and AI is part of your daily workflow to accelerate research, competitive analysis, writing, content creation, messaging development, market analysis and content production. We expect you to demonstrate this during the interview process.
