Account Executive - Australia and New Zealand

Your mission
As the first person on the ground, you’ll have the unique chance to build our presence from the ground up in a vibrant, high-potential region buzzing with major players like Fonterra. This is your moment to shape our market strategy, establish our brand, and drive growth.
 
Your entrepreneurial mindset and drive will fuel the identification of new business opportunities, spearhead sales, and collaborate with our global marketing and Solution Conulting teams to generate and convert high-value leads. Your ability to influence end-users and C-level stakeholders at top-tier organizations will be pivotal in positioning Neptune Software as the market leader in Australia and New Zealand.
 
As sales is inherently a social role, you must thrive in networking and forging robust relationships with prospects across diverse environments. The ideal candidate is a confident, outgoing, and extroverted individual with a passion for building connections and an insatiable hunger to create something extraordinary from scratch.

Objectives:
  • Lead customer prospecting and lead generation across Australia and New Zealand to build a robust pipeline
  • Partner with marketing to design and drive high-impact campaigns via marketing automation
  • Execute outreach strategies via phone and email to capture new opportunities
  • Attend, organize, and sponsor high-profile local and regional networking events (e.g., SAP Australian User Group, SAP New Zealand User Group, Special Interest Groups, Neptune Events, Trade Shows)
  • Nurture leads through consistent, high-touch engagement via email, phone, and in-person interactions
  • Deliver compelling demos (both independently and with Solutions Consulting support) to showcase Neptune’s value to top-tier clients
  • Advance opportunities through the sales cycle with precision, driving deals to successful closure

Your profile
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated enterprise sales success with a track record of exceeding targets
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience selling software in a B2B environment
  • Knowledge of the SAP ecosystem
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior line-of-business and IT executives, as well as operational managers, within top organizations in Australia and New Zealand
  • Previous experience building a region or market from the ground up (highly appreciated)
  • Exceptional 'hunter' (new business) selling skills with a relentless drive to win
  • Passion for emerging technologies and a deep desire to master and demonstrate Neptune’s functionality, use cases, and business and technical elements
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Expertise in executing a complex, solution-based enterprise sales process
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth software company where change is constant
  • Ability to operate independently with an entrepreneurial mindset while collaborating effectively with global Neptune team members
